ReplyDeleteActually this squash can either be eaten as a summer squash or it can be grown larger and actually "dried" in the open air to use for later. Carol Deppe talks about the method for drying this squash in her book The Resilient Gardener. However, I would have to read it again to remember how she prepares the dried squash for a meal. (=
